If you’re a consumer of content on TikTok like me, you definitely would have come across Smile T’s music and story. It’s so funny and inspirational at the same time.
So, this dude was always posting snippets of his freestyle on TikTok, but the crazy thing was that he was always in a Celestial gown and chained. According to his song, his friend gave him Colorado and it knocked his head, so they brought him to the church for prayers. In his freestyle, he would always call popular skitmaker’s name, Oluwadollarz, asking to be featured in a song ‘Oluwadollarz wan fucho me.’

At first, the videos were funny. The boy was obviously hit hard by the drugs. He looked so unkempt. People would always drop funny comments like ‘no let am escape o,’ ‘small craze still dey im body o.’ Funny stuff, Mehn.
But we woke up one day to hear that Oluwadollars has actually featured him, and they’ve turned that freestyle into an actual song that was trending all over. Boom. Omo, I was shocked. And the funny part is that the song was actually dope. Very dope.
I think the comment that took me out the most was when someone said ‘if them been tell this boy say e go first mad before e blow, e no go gree.’ Trust Nigerians and their bad mouth. lol.
And that up there was the highlight of my July. It really intrigued me how people's destinies could change in split seconds and how there are no scripts for success.
Truly if they had told that guy that he would have to go crazy first before getting the success he wanted, he really would not have agreed.
He just kept on doing his freestyles, singing, and begging to be featured. lol. It was so funny. The first time I saw his video, I just hissed and passed. In my head, I had said ‘all these boys will go and smoke and knock their head and start blaming it on someone.’ You know he kept on saying it’s his friend that gave him the weed. Lmao.
I’m happy for him. And the lesson there for us all is simple. Omo, luck comes from consistency. Success doesn’t come because you did it once, success comes because you kept on doing it for long, despite and in spite.
Luck comes from consistency.
And that is what I’m holding on to this August. Doing the small things consistently and not just sitting and waiting to do the big one someday.
That said, I hope the month of August is going well for you? I apologize my letter to you is coming a bit late into the month.
I just wrapped up a six-week intensive training programme for all GIGM Captains. If you travel interstate by road, you’ll agree with me that GIGM is the best transport company to use. The service level is top-notch, and that’s because they invest a lot into their people.
I was Lead Facilitator for the duration, where we trained them about Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Road Safety, and Customer Experience. We wanted them to understand things from the PoV of the customers, so they could serve them better. It was an intense and exhilarating experience. We had speakers from organizations such as Road Safety, VIO and LATSMA.
There were also sessions on Mental and Physical Wellness as well as Emotional Intelligence, Communication and overall service delivery. Trust my team to always deliver.

It was such a beautiful experience. We trained more than 500 Captains during this period, and trust me, I was exhausted. We just rounded off, and I want to take a long break to recharge again.
I and my friends also launched our travel brand - OnTheMove. It was such a fun experience.

I am excited, and I wish you a splendid rest of the month.
Don’t stop winning.
